Week 2 Posts - Tuesday 24 April

It is great to see so many of you are working well and have logged on to this blog site.  I would like you all to 'follow' the site too. 

By the end of the lesson I would like each of you to have commented on the previous post and be following.  So far the following people have posted:  JR, Salvo and Logan.  You go to this site then click the option - 'sign in' - in the right hand corner.  You use your school login to gain posting rights to the site.

I have left a worksheet for you, containing some errors from your letters.  Write the correct sentences in this post.  (I will check them from Brisbane.)

Now you are familiar with the i-Pad and the site we need to see some evidence of your work.

Welcome to your first post.  Reply to this post by writing down three reasons why you like to use a computer or i-Pad when you work.  Make sure your work has a heading.  You can list dot points.

Once you have done this let Mrs Teale or myself know so we can check that your system is working well. 

Welcome to EN521

Welcome to EN521. 

This unit will require you to publish regularly on this blog.  Writing will be of various length but will need to be regular.  Writing will be in response to different stimulus.  One of these will be about the usual heroic story and  you will watch a movie which shows this in action.  Responding to this movie will be your major assessment. 

You will also use the i-Pad each lesson, not only to write on this blog, but also to complete activities on different apps.

Regular participation in classroom activities is also expected.

I hope you enjoy the unit and the opportunity to use technology throughout the term.
